Coronavirus Response and Monday's City Council Meeting
April 4, 2020
I hope you are staying well, and surviving the coronavirus pandemic and the many risks and hardships it is imposing on our lives.
I also hope you are managing to comply with City of Columbia Order No. 2020-03, which requires most residents to stay at home (apart from defined "Essential Activities"). This is our community's best chance to minimize illness and economic disruption.
If your work involves "Essential Business Activities," "Essential Government Functions," or "Essential Critical Infrastructure," ...thank you for your service to the rest of us.
If you are experiencing challenges as a result of the pandemic, such as the loss of your income, you can access resources and assistance here.
If you can help others with a financial donation, please contribute to the CoMoHelps Relief Fund, a collaboration among the City of Columbia, Boone County, Community Foundation of Central Missouri, and Heart of Missouri United Way.

City Council Meeting: Monday, April 6th
There will be some new procedures and recommendations for Monday's City Council Meeting (at 7:00 pm) and Work Session (at 6:00 pm).
Both meetings will take place in the City Council Chamber, which will be open to the public with physical distancing rules enacted. Some Council members and City staff will participate in the meetings via online videoconferencing and Council members will be allowed to vote on bills without being present in the Chamber.
Members of the public are encouraged to watch the meetings online (https://www.como.gov/council/citystream-meeting-video/) or on television (Spectrum 992, Mediacom 80, and CenturyLink 96) rather than attend in person. Public comments submitted to the City Clerk (email@example.com) by 4:00 pm on Monday will be compiled and filed with the appropriate agenda item for Council review. Additionally, you can always send your comments to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) before or during a meeting.
Here are the agendas for the Work Session and Council Meeting. Several emergency measures (B89-20, B90-20, B91-20, B92-20, and B93-20) will be discussed and voted on under "New Business." Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
